CHIRP!! Yep, a Journal Page

Hi everyone.  I've got a new project up for Art Anthology today.  Here's a look at it; it's a double journal page. I used lots of yummy colors and filled up the front and back of a page.

Hmm, my favorite technique is really simple; inking edges, I can't leave anything uninked, it looks nekkid to me.

Marilyn Hughes YOU ARE HERE!!!

My projects feature several of the new releases for May.

First up is this one of two envelopes I created for a postal swap I'm participating in.  I used Starfish S629 for the front and back and Keep Calm SDX053 on the flap to make my envelope look fresh from the ocean.  I colored the Starfish stamp using Art Anthology Colorations as if they were watercolors.  I just dotted a little on my craft sheet using the sprayer and then applied the color with a small brush.  I stamped the sentiment, Keep Calm, using Versifine black ink (my favorite black ink).

I went in a little different direction with my second envelope (the swap was for two).   On the front, I stamped Dragonfly SD626 and Wings of Possibility SD307 using Memento black ink.  I then colored the dragonfly with Art Anthology Dimensional Gems.  Next I swirled on dots of Rhodolite Dimensional Gems using a paintbrush.

On the back, I painted with a wash of Art Anthology Grass Colorations (& ran the brush down the front sides of the envelope) and then flicked on Raider Colorations mixed with water using a paintbrush.  I stamped Deco Winged Cerub SD305 using Memento black ink and then colored in cupid's wings using Dimensional Gems.  Lastly I stamped Sentimental Sayings PS005 using Versifine black ink.

Love the new May releases?  Well they are currently on sale for 15% off through next week!   Go to on New Stamps, then on May 2015 Releases.
