Gratitude Mini Album

Hi everyone! I'm back today to share a mini album I created for Basically Bare's.  For today's project, I used the Oh So Mini Tabbed Album.  This is a great ringed album and you can personalize it with your choice of a variety of materials (chipboard, felt, watercolor paper, and/or acrylic).  For mine, I chose to go with all chipboard.

I used a Farm House 6x6 paper pad to cover all my pages.
2015-05-17 10.18.12
I used mini Cabinet Card frames. and Found Relatives from Tim Holtz, and stickers from my stash.

An assortment of rub-ons, Tim Holtz Photobooth Vintage Photos, and journaling tags.
2015-05-17 10.19.03
These albums can function as mini-scrapbooks, art journals, or photo albums.
2015-05-17 10.19.10
Or you can do what I did and just have fun with them.

I always leave the backs of my albums plain.  In this case, I added white rub-ons to the top two corners and the middle bottom.

Feel Art Journal Page

I created the following journal page for a swap I participated in over on the Yahoo group Art for the Creative Mind.  The theme for the swap was Nature/Feel.  Also, I used it for my Art Anthology project where the June's monthly theme is Empowerment.  When I across the quote I used, I thought it was perfect for both applications.

Here's how you can create a similar page:

Sailing Away Journal Page for Technique Junkies

Good morning everyone!  Today I have a journal page featuring Technique Junkies stamps.  Specifically, I used Sea Waves S628 and Listen to the Sea SDX053.

To complete the page, I sprayed Art Anthology Waimea Bay and Ink Spot Colorations on the lower half of the page.  Next I stamps Sea Waves S628 and then resprayed both colors.  The top half was sprayed with Glorious Colorations and I then drew in the mountains with Kona Velvet.  The sun was done with Lemon Tart, Tango, and Desire Velvet.

Next, I sprayed Juicy and Raider Colorations onto my mat and misted with water, and also thinned out some Desire Velvet with water.  Using a round brush, I then stroked the colors across the page until I liked the way it looked.

The sentiment Listen to the Sea SDX053 was stamped onto a piece of cardstock that had been sprayed with Art Anthology Plush and Juicy Colorations.  I then cut it out and adhered it to my page.  The last think I did was glue on a little sailboat I had in my stash.

Love Technique Junkies stamps as much as I do?  Visit www.techniquejunkies,com!

Until later.............................

Here is the hop participants in order:

My art journal spread features two of the new releases for June, Old Pier S622 & Winds of Change SD621.

I started out by stamping Old Pier S622 onto both pages of my journal.  I then used Art Anthology Waimea Bay and Ink Spot Colorations to color in water.

For the clouds, I drew cloud shapes and then filled in with copious amount of Art Anthology Cotton Velvet mixed with a little Aloha Velvet so the cloud would look "fluffy".  The sky was colored with Art Anthology Glorious Colorations and a wash of Cotton Velvet and Waimea Bay Colorations.

Finally, I painted a few seagulls with Art Anthology Cotton and Tuxedo Velvets and scattered them across my pages.  The sentiment is Winds of Change SD621.
