Gecko Galz Design Team, All That Glitters, and a Free Digi Stamp

Good morning everyone!  The theme this month at Gecko Galz is All That Glitters, so I have a couple of projects for you that follow that theme, using some of their great images.  To top that off, I have a free digi stamp for you!

For the tag:
1)  Run the tag through a Xyron, lay it down on your paper from the High Society Paper Pack, and trim.
2)  Add a couple of Dresden starbursts and lay your image from the Golden Splendor Collage Sheet over them.
3)  Trim the edge with green and gold braid and run some black and gold fiber through the hole.

For this 5x7 canvas:
1)  Cover the canvas with black gesso and dry completely.
2)  Paint the right side with London Bus, Mermaid, and Captain Peacock paint from Paper Artsy.
3)  Rub in some Inka Gold.
4)  Trim down a piece of paper from the High Society Paper Pack and adhere it to the left side of your canvas.
4)  Paint the oval frame (from Melissa Francis) with the same colors as your background, and add a trimmed image from the Golden Splendor Collage Sheet.
5)  Stamp your sentiment and emboss with blue embossing powder.
6)  Paint two chipboard leaf stems with the same color paints as your background, rub with Inka Gold.
7)  I dug around in my stash and found a coordinating rose and a burlap butterfly.  Arrange everything and glue down.  You're done!

Now for what you have been waiting on.  Your free digi stamp, courtesy of Gecko Galz.

Together Journal Page for Technique Junkies

Good morning everyone!  I have fallen in love with Birds on a Fence from Technique Junkies.  It's been in my basket for a while, but I've just recently come to appreciate how versatile this stamp is.

I sprayed the background with Art Anthology Studio Blue and made sure it was good and dry.  I then dabbed a baby wipe across the page to lighten some areas and give the impression of clouds.  I then stamped Birds on a Fence across the bottom in black Versafine ink and them embossed with clear embossing powder.  Across the top, I stamped Together in black Versafine ink.  I then added a few butterflies from Little B.

This is headed out to New Mexico and I hope the recipient loves it as much as I do.

All that Glitters - Gecko Galz Customer Challenge for January

Good morning everyone!  This month's customer challenge over on the Gecko Galz blog is All That Glitters.  So, with that in mind, I created this journal page using lots of glittery goodness.

I started with a piece of paper from the Gecko Galz High Society Paper Pack.  I cut it to size and adhered it to my journal page and then brushed on Art Anthology Splashed Clear Coat for extra glitter.  Next, I cut out an image from the Gecko Galze Golden Splendor Collage Sheet and placed it to the right of center on my page.  Diamond wrap (can find in floral stores) was then run around the image and yellow rhinestones adhered at the corners.  I used Bo Bunney Gems in different colors to edge my page and finished up with Velvet Flowers from Petaloo.

You've just seen Pam DeChellis's project and isn't her she so amazing?!?!  She creates an outstanding selection of some of the most gorgeous cards you will ever see.

Here is the hop participants in order:
I had some really fabulous stamps to work with and decided to created two projects.  As most of you know, cards aren't my strength, so today I have an ATC and a Tag for your enjoyment.

For my Love ATC, I stamped Furever Friends with Versafine ink then using a brush and Art Anthology Sandcastle Colorations as a water color, I filled in the background.  I painted the girls hair with Art Anthology Lemon Tart Velvet, her skin with Portobello Velvet, and the white of her blouse and the dog's face with Cotton Velvet.  I then stamped Love in Versafine ink and added three small red mulberry roses below.

For my Let's Roll Tag, I first created the background using several colors of shimmer ink.  I set it aside to dry.  Next I stamped Let's Roll on a Bristol ATC and colored the truck with Art Anthology French Toast Colorations and the trees with Avocado and Grass Colorations.  I adhered this to my tag and then edged it with some dark green sparkly ribbon.  I stamped the sentiment "Let's Roll" onto a piece of paper that was sprayed with Valentine Colorations, cut it out, and glued it to the top of my tag, outlining it with a black pen.  Some green and orange fiber finish it off.
