Gecko Galz December Customer Challenge - Believe

Good morning everyone! It's the 1st of the month and that means another Customer Challenge over on the Gecko Galz Blog.  This month, it's all about Santa.

That in mind, I decided to create an ATC.  Gecko Galz has a ton of wonderful Christmas collage sheets to chose from so I did have a little trouble deciding on just one image.

I created the background with a mix of inks then added my image from Santa Claus Lane, some die cut snowflakes, a little stamping, and a sticker that says Believe.

Don't forget to check out all the wonderful collage sheets at Gecko Galz Etsy store.

Until next time~

I used one of the images from the Sunnybrook Farm collage sheet.

Memories Card for Gecko Galz March Challenge

Good morning everyone!  It's time for the March Challenge over on the Gecko Galz blog and I wanted to share a card I created for it with you.

To be honest, I goofed.  This month's challenge is Fairy Garden & I missed the "Fairy" part.  I hope it gives you some inspiration anyway.

1)  Cut a piece of white cardstock and color with with DP Mowed Lawn.
2)  Using Stencil Girl's Scribble Mask add some DP Barn Door.
3)  Trim the image of the girl from the Garden Time Collage Sheet and place it on a piece of yellow cardstock, leaving a small edge all the way around.  Add to the left side of your painted cardstock.
4)  Scatter little mini colored flower die cuts around the card then add some large floral diecuts to the right of the image then add a TH Word Band and some seam binding to the bottom.
5)  Mound everything on a piece of yellow cardstock.  You now have a card.

I'm not a great cardmaker by any stretch of the imagination but I hope you liked today's project.  For more great images like the one I used, check out Gecko Galz's store on Etsy.

Sparkle Forever Always for Gecko Galz

Good morning everyone!  I'm up on the Gecko Galz blog today and I wanted to share with you how I created the ATCs and tag I made this month.  Currently, most of my projects are simple to make and only require a few supplies.  I'm still operating with a minimum of art supplies since flooding in August.

SPARKLE ATC
1)  Stencil TH Flourish using modeling paste tinted with Metallique Pink Blush.
2)  Cut out Leave a Little Sparkle from the Scripted collage sheet and center it on the card.
3)  Using Prima Soft Matte Gel, add fine silver glitter around the edges of the sentiment.
4)  Using Prima Soft Matte Gel, add some pink microbeads randomly around the sentiment.
5)  Finish by going around the edges with pink chalk ink.

FOREVER ALWAYS ATC

1)  Gesso the ATC then spritz with water.  While wet, spray LSG Opal Sea Oats and dry.
2)  Stencil with TH Speckles and Stazon Timber Brown.
3)  Cut out images from Hugs and Kisses and Chalkboard Sentiments collage sheets and add to card.
4)  Rub Stazon Timber Brown ink around the edges.

BEAUTIFUL Tag
1)  I started with a pre-made background created with a Gel Press plate and random acrylic paint that I trimmed and glued to a tag.
2)  Randomly stamp a script stamp onto background using white pigment ink.
3)  Cut out your images from Scripted (I shrunk the sheet down) and Beautiful Book Marks collage sheets and add them to your tag.  I tinted the Scripted image with DI Vintage Photo.
4)  Place enamel dots in matching colors around the tag.
5)  Edge the tag with XXX ink
6)  Add coordinating ribbon to the tag and a brad to cover the hole.

For these and other great collage sheet, visit the Gecko Galz Etsy Store.
Don't forget to participate in the Gecko Galz February Customer Challenge, Vintage Valentine.  You could win a $25 Gecko Galz shopping spree.

Thank you for stopping by today.
Until later...................

Sweetheart for Gecko Galz February Customer Challenge

Good morning everyone.  It's time again for the Gecko Galz's Customer Challenge.  This month's challenge is Vintage Valentine.  I decided to create a Valentine's Tag (tags are great for using as bookmarks).

1)  I started with a #8 tag and swirled on color with a sponge dauber and SU Cherry Cobbler ink, going lighter as I got toward the middle.
2)  Next I added stenciled hearts using the TH Hearts stencil and modeling paste I colored with some Nuance Powder in Scarlet.
3)  I then cut out an image from Lovely Little Valentines and centered it on the sides and down a little from exact center vertically.  Remember the rule of thirds.
4)  Next I added red and white baker's twine around the image.  I'm not fond of raw edges.
5)  Then I took three red mulberry flowers and grouped them on the bottom right corner, brushing some glitter across the top (I use Finnabair's Soft Matte Gel for this).  I then added red enamel dots in different sizes radiating up and out from the flower.
6)  Finally, I added some rubons, a Sweetheart 3D sticker and some fiber.

Hope you enjoyed my tag.  For more great Gecko Galz images, check out the shop on Etsy.  And don't forget to get your entry in on the Gecko Galz blog for your chance to win a $25 Gecko Galz shopping spree.
