Walking

Good morning!  I've been playing with tags again and I have a quirky one ready for you today using a couple of Technique Junkies stamps.

I sprayed the tag with Art Anthology Colorations in Plush, Juicy, and Glorious.  I then stenciled a couple of butterflies using the Art Anthology Butterfly Flight stencil and Mud.  I painted the butterflies with Art Anthology Dimensional Gems in Garner, Flourite, and Emerald and glued down some Prills in Gourd-Jus, Berry Nice, and Plum Crazy.

Since my background was done, I went to work with my Technique Junkies stamps.  I stamped Fan Girl and Do Wah Ditty onto a piece of mixed media paper, cut them out and then painted.  Fan Girl was painted with Art Anthology Lemon Tart, Portobello, and Cotton Candy Velvet and Silver Metal Effects.  I sprayed the Do Wah Ditty sentiment with Art Anthology Colorations in Wild Orchid.

A couple of pieces of fiber and I was done!

Hope you enjoyed today's tag.

Until later.........................

Dream Journal Page

Good morning everyone!  Today, I have a journal page I created from one on my paint journal pages.  What I call my paint journal is an art journal where I put all the left over paint, texture paste, wet stencils, and inked stamps that I have when I'm completing a project.  I just smear things across the page and it creates some wonderful backgrounds for future projects.

I started with one of my more colorful pages that incorporated several colors of Art Anthology Velvet (I see Mardi Gras (discontinued), Fiji, and Lagoon to name a few), the Art Anthology Beehive Stencil, and some Art Anthology Colorations (Glorious and Plush).

I stamped Vintage Balloon Collage from Technique Junkies onto a piece of card and then cut out both balloons.  The top of the larger one was sprayed with Art Anthology Colorations in Heart and the bottom painted with Art Anthology Velvet in Fiesta and Fiji. The smaller balloon was painted with Art Anthology Velvet in Limeade and Tango.

After placing my balloons and gluing them down, I traced over parts of the stenciled image with a black maker, red marker, and white gel pen.  The balloons were also traced with a black marker followed by the white gel pen in order for them to stand out against the background.

Lastly, I added my sentiment from Technique Junkies Dream Quotes also tracing it with a black marker.

Hope you enjoyed today's page.  Now you know not to just wipe up all that colorful goodness from your craft mat.  Brush it onto a blank journal page, trowel it on with a palette knife, or de-ink your stamps by stamping them over onto a page.

Until later...................

You've just seen Judy Jackson's project and isn't her work just awesome?!?!  She uses such soft touches of color with her projects and creates some really gorgeous cards.

Here is the hop participants in order:
I wanted to use the new gorgeous release, Let's Face It 5 and it worked perfectly with one of the extra-large tags.

I sprayed the tag with Art Anthology Colorations in Waimea Bay, Heart, and Salted Caramel.  Next I stampd Let's Face It 5 on a piece of cardstock and cut it out.

Her face is painted with a mix of Art Anthology Kona and Portobello Velvet, her turban is Tango and Fiji Velvet, eyes are Sunshine and Mint Julep Sorbet, and her lips are painted with Desire Velvet.  I wrapped a piece of orange cord through a Word Band and tied it off in back and added a few rubons.  Lastly, I strung several pieces of fiber through the hole and called it done.
