Having Fun with Gecko Galz Collage Sheets; ATCs & Journal Pages & a Free Digi Stamp

Good morning everyone!  I've got quite a few projects to share with your today.  ATCs and Journal Pages I created using the wonderful collage pages produced by Gecko Galz.  And of course, I have your free image for this month.

First up, a trio of ATCs.

I used an image from Beach Babes Collage Sheet over a background created with Paper Artsy paints in Baltic Blue, Granny Smith, and Snowflake.  The anchor is by Petticoat Parlor.

This ATC uses images from By The Sea Collage Sheet over a background created with Paper Artsy paints in Caribbean Sea, Captain Peacock, and Snowflake.  The clouds are by Um Wow.

And finally for this ATC, I again used an image from By The Sea Collage Sheet over a background created with Paper Artsy paints in Mermaid, Beach Hut, and South Pacific.  The seashell is by Petticoat Parlor.

I love this journal page.  I started by painting the page with black acrylic paint.  When that dried, I painted a thin coat of white acrylic paint over a roughly square section where I wanted my image to go.  I then stenciled several suns using Joggles Here Comes The Sun stencil and Dylusions Lemon Zest paint.  Next I stenciled arrows along the edges using TCW Arrows and Hearts and Dylusions Cut Grass.  I decided I needed a little yellow where my image was going so painted a little of the Lemon Zest over the white.  I then cut out You Are My Sunshine from the Beautiful Words Collage Sheet and glued it to my page.  At the last second, I added some Art Ingredients Micro Beads in Pollen and Grass across my page.

And finally, here's the journal page I created using this month's Free Digi Stamp.  I colored my stamp with Twinking H2O's and then cut out the part I wanted to use.  For the background, I used Hero Art's Wildflower Garden and green ink.  I then stenciled with the Tim Holtz Latticework stencil and Art Anthology Stucco.  I splattered on red, orange, white, black, and brown ink and then began layering.  I used a couple of complementary pieces of paper cut slightly larger than my digi stamp image and glued them down.  I slipped diecuts from the Sizzix Wildflower Thinklits set between layers and added some floral accents from Little B.

That brings us to this.......your free stamp!  Enjoy!

Thank you for joining me today.  Until later...............

Flamingo Tag with Technique Junkies

Good morning everyone.  I have a fun tag to share with you today.

This is a fun stamp to play with.  Let me state up front that I used coated tags.  This does mute the vibrancy of the sprays somewhat.

First, I sprayed the entire tag with Art Anthology Sandcastle Colorations.  Then I sprayed Siesta Key, Wild Orchid, and Plush Colorations through a Joggles Flower Patch stencil and dried.

I stamped Flamingo by Technique Junkies with Palette Belle Rose using my Misti (how did I ever stamp without it!) and embossed with Lindy's Stamp Gang Hibiscus Rose Orange.  It wasn't quite dark enough with the colorful background so I re-stamped with black archival ink and then hit it with a heat gun to allow the ink to blend with the embossing.  I finished up with some matching purple fiber.

Thanks for dropping by today.  Until later.........

Gecko Galz April Challenge - Roses, Lace, and Butterflies

Hello Everyone!  This month's challenge over on the Gecko Galz Blog is Roses, Lace, and Butterflies.  I love butterflies, though roses and lace can prove somewhat of a challenge for me to work with.  That in mind, I created a postcard tag incorporating all three.

I used images from Butterfly Kisses, Butterflies and Birds, Papillion Jewel It, and Stay Young and Beautiful.  These I layered on top of paper from the Papillion Digital Paper Pack.  I outlined the tag with some braided lace and then tied a piece of pink lace through the hole.

Remember, April showers bring May flowers!  And don't forget to check out the Gecko Galz Etsy store for this and other great images.  Until later........................

In honor of the great outdoors-related stamps I received, I created a trio of ATCs.  Hope you enjoy them!

I LOVE this stamp!  Every time I look at this, I'm reminded of how much my husband and son love to fish.  I started by spraying the background with Art Anthology Juicy and Wild Orchid Colorations, blotting and drying until they were blended.  I then stamped Arm in Cast Stamp with Versamark black ink, added a trout embellishment, and then outlined the ATC with some swirly cirlce rubons.

This was super simple. I sprayed the ATC with Art Anthology Patience and Salmon Colorations and allowed them to run slightly.  I then stamped Crabby, Set of 3 Stamp Set and the Sentiment "Let's get crackin" that comes with the set in black Versamark ink.  I finished by adding "X"s, courtesy of a rubon, around the edges.

My last ATC required some finagling.  I sprayed the ATC with Art Anthology Juicy Colorations and dried.  I then laid my ATC in my Misti and eyeballed the placement of the Swans Stamp.  I inked up the stamped and with a baby wipe, removed all the ink except on the part of the stamp I wanted on my ATC.  I then stamped multiple times until I had a nice, very black image.  Next I stamped "SOAR" using the Almano Stamp Set.  Finally, I added dashes and dots using a rubon.

This along with the other two ATCs are part of a swap I participated in and they will be winging their way to their new homes soon.
